Hasan Ali Aydeniz, a married farmer with 4 children from Efendeli village in Gördes district of Manisa, took out a loan from Gördes Tarım Kredi Kooperatifi. To benefit from the insurance campaign implemented by the cooperative for its members, he took out personal accident insurance for 100 TL. Hasan Ali Aydeniz lost his life in an accident with his tractor on September 30, 2012. Gördes Tarım Kredi Kooperatifi contacted the family of Aydeniz, who passed away 8 days before the expiry of the insurance policy, and informed them that they would be paid 100,000 TL in compensation.

Aydeniz's wife and children, who were unaware that he had taken out insurance, were greatly surprised. The family, whose compensation was deposited into their bank accounts, received their compensation with a bittersweet joy. Yusuf Yeşil, Chairman of the İzmir Regional Union of Tarım Kredi Cooperatives, stated that the importance of insurance was once again evident. Stating that they constantly warn their partners to get insurance as an institution, Yeşil said, “I wish God’s mercy upon Hasan Ali Aydeniz, but life goes on. At least this compensation, which will be a form of future security for his family, will alleviate their pain, even if only a little.”
