Free Vaccines Will Be Provided by Municipalities and Hospitals
Along with the health seminars provided by municipalities for expectant mothers, the Ministry of Health will now provide free of charge Hepatitis A and Chickenpox vaccines, which parents previously had to pay for at hospitals. Vaccination is of great importance for the health of babies. Vaccination is essential for healthy generations. However, vaccination must be done correctly and on time. The first vaccine administered to a baby immediately after birth is Hepatitis B at the hospital. Subsequent vaccinations are the responsibility of the parents. Hepatitis B is given in the first month of the baby's life. In the second month, DPT, Meningitis, and Polio are administered; in the third month, Tuberculosis; and in the fourth and sixth months, the vaccinations given in the second month are repeated.
Vaccinations Required for Babies and Their Timings
Hepatitis vaccination is given in the seventh month; Measles, Rubella, Mumps in the twelfth month; Chickenpox in the fifteenth month; the third repetition of vaccinations given in the second week is done in the eighteenth month; and Hepatitis A vaccinations are given in the twenty-fourth and thirtieth months. It is mandatory to get Measles, DPT, Polio, and Tuberculosis vaccinations at five and seven years of age, and Diphtheria and Tetanus vaccinations at twelve years of age.
