Nyy Cable

Nyy Cable

Nyy Cable models; consist of metallic conductor wires or strands coated with an insulating material, used for transmitting electric current. The highest quality Nyy cables are displayed on the pages. It consists of one or more wires, and the outer surface of these wires is designed by covering them with an insulating material. The current conductors inside can be designed from copper or aluminum wires. In addition, it can be in a braided form designed from a single wire or more finely braided wires. To carry equal current, those containing aluminum must have a diameter 1/2 larger than copper types. As a result, copper cable should be used in places where space is a problem.

Cables, depending on the type of material used, are divided into;

1 - Cables with aluminum conductors

2 - Cables with copper conductors.

In addition, according to their intended use;

1 - High current cables

2 - Low current cables are divided into two groups.

Single-core NYY cables of this type should never be passed through a steel pipe when there are more than one. Because it can quickly create a capacitor effect and melt the insulation. Also, cables to be laid underground should not be passed through concrete materials due to abrasion damage, but should be passed through plastic materials.

What are the Usage Areas of NYY?

NYY cables are a type of cable that can be used as a network lighting - power distribution cable. It can be used in internal – external – underground – cable ducts where there are no mechanical stresses. NYY Cable structures in single cores; are single-stranded up to 1.5-10 mm2. They are multi-stranded from 10 mm2 to 300 mm2. NYY cables are designed by insulating them with an insulating sheath and then applying an outer sheath. 2-4 core NYY cables are single-stranded up to 10 mm2. NYY with cross-sections larger than 10mm2 are multi-stranded. Twisted cores have a common sheath, with a black outer sheath on top.
